Borno is a very lucky state having fought an 11year old bitter war ,went through a battery of other internal strides and yet has kept its head above the water, when other states have gone through lesser problems have been stranded.
As we click the glasses and toast to the survival of of borno after all it had gone through ,public discussion so far about the landmark achievements of the state within the two years stewardship of his excellency prof Babagana Umara Zullum have equally been very interesting .
In Borno state which strangle and struggle through a lot of menace from Boko Haram crisis, the story is that of the good ,the bad and the ugly .
The story is that of a state which limped, tottered and walked itself to a level which we are all now proud of .
We have no doubt faced barrages and crisis which shutdown our economics, stranded our people and nearly kneeled and cripple the state to its knees as we grow up but because we are one of the lost resilient and religiously organized people our state is on a verge of progress again in regarding to infrastructural developments and other social amenities.
A look at the level of our development will elicit the general satisfaction from all the sons and daughters of the state .
It’s not as if the story has been smooth all through.
The state has faced quite a lot of challenges, trials and tribulations along the way .
We have gone through rough times particularly as we fell victim of the one the world dangerous terrorist, we must however remain perpetually thankful to Allah for witnessing many millstone achievements within this two years , one of the happiest and gargantuan achievements is reconstruction of the areas affected by insurgency and successful resettlement of all the IDPs , it’s official that now the state is rid of IDP camps as the victims are happily back to their homes and begin their normal businesses .
The governor have been going dusk to dawn through the dunes and shores of the state no matter how deadliest it is ,it’s very interesting to note that peace is gradually regaining in the shores of the lake Chad .
The Borno state government under the leadership of our indefatigable governor prof Babagana Umara Zullum MNI which is busy consolidating on our democratic gains seems to be witnessing the encouraging signals of satisfaction so far from the people of the state .
I think I can described the achievements of the government so far as modest ,while other states are still grappling from absence of development . Here in Borno we are jointly savoring in an unprecedented infrastructural, educational and overall economic development.
The construction of the newly flyover set to be commissioned is one of the greatest millstone achievements that even the opposition have salute the governor on and the construction of the 17 mega schools so far across the state is also commendable.
The governor has his own errors and shortcomings just like any other human but his policies towards achieving a modern and successful Borno state can’t be denied to be standard.
I pray that peace shall reign forever in the state.
May Zulum succeed
