YOBE: Buni distributes Palliatives to 1500 people

In support for vulnerable people, over 1000 person and 500 handicapped received palliative support in yobe state.

The palliative, which was distributed by Yobe State Emergency Management Agency YOSEMA under the leadership of Dr. Goje Mohammed on Wednesday 26th July, 2023 was the directive of the state governor, Gov. Mai Mala Buni.

According to a statement by Goje, the Paliative support is in line with Emergency Food Security Policy directed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

While flagging off the distribution, Dr. Goje said 40% of the beneficiaries are Blind Disables while 20% are female disables.

Each Beneficiary goes home with a combination of

1. Rice 10kg

2. Beans 12.5kg

3. Maize 10kg

4. Spaghetti

5. Salt

6. Maggie seasoning.

The Executive Secretary SEMA, while conveying the governor message, “informed beneficiaries that this is the first phase, and more will be reached out in the coming days to cushion the hardship.” He further warned beneficiaries, not not to sale the items, and not to give anybody who claimed to have enlisted them.

Beneficiaries expressed excitement toward the gesture made to them.
