The Vigilante Group in Taraba State has apprehended four prominent kidnappers in various locations in the State.
The vigilante group which is fighting banditry and kidnapping in Taraba State had successfully arrested the kidnappers with the ring leader popularly known as “Commander Falalu” and another one only known as Gambo, Umaru Ulu as well as Dan Goggo perpetrating their evil acts in the rocks of Yorro, Ardo Kola and Bali Local Government areas of the State.
The suspected kidnappers were paraded at the palace of the Emir of muri Alhaji Abbas Njiddah Tafida in Jalingo where they were intoragated and all proved guilty of their offences.
Three of the suspects arrested by the vigilante group are involved in kidnapping, robbery, banditry and cattle rustling, who confirmed to have been rustling cattles from the owners.
Dantala Adamu, chairman of the vigilante group heading the operation said it was the second time they paraded criminals at the Palace of the Emir of Muri in Jalingo Alhaji Abbas Njiddah Tafida where all the suspects were proved guilty of all the allegations against them before being handed over to police for further investigation.
Adamu stated that they were parading the suspects at the palace before the police station inorder to intimate the royal father who legally organized the operation of the Vigilante Group of their from village , ward and Local Govermment levels to who gave them the mandate to carry out their assigment accross Taraba State where the suspects are first intoragated before handing them over to the Police.
“Commander Falalu” who was said to be the ring leader of the Kidnappers said he never kills but kidnapped, living inside a cave which he called “the place of Commander Falalu Bush” around the hills of Donkin village of Yorro Local Government area.
Another suspect only known as Gambo who was arrested at Sabon Gari Daka in Bali Local
Government stated that he was involved in only 2 kidnappings were they succeeded in kidnapping 3 people and collect N4million from the first person, N3million from the second person and N2million from the third victim, using one AK 47 riffle and 2 local guns.
The third suspect Umar Ulu said he was involved in 3 kidnappings but did not know exactly the amount of money collected from a particular person as ransom as he was working under a gang leader.
The forth suspects suspect Dan Goggo confirmed that he only steals cattle but has never kidnap any body.
After the investigation at the Emir’s palace in Jalingo, the suspects were handed over to the Taraba State Police Command Headquarters in Jalingo for further investigation and prosecution.
