Gov Kefas inaugurates PDP Special Projects Committee

Dr. Agbu Kefas, Taraba State Governor has inaugurated a 21 member Special Projects Committee to begin with preparations for Local Government Election slated for November 18th, 2023 in the State.

The Committee chaired by Senator Haruna Manu the immediate past Deputy Governor and the current Senator for Taraba Central has Pius Sabo, Ahidjo Musa, Istifanus Haruna Gwana, Ambassador Idris Waziri, Yusuf Akirikwen SAN, Senator Shu’aibu Isa Lau, Banard Shonzen Kassa, Dominic Bukuni, Charles Maijankai and Ibrahim Hussaini Mafindi as members.

Others are Doctor Abubakar Jugulde, Kabiru Kabiru Jalo, Titus Joseph Nagombe, Senator Dahiru Bako Gassol, Dr. Tafarki Agbadu, John Kizito Bonzena, kuriya Tafarki Auta, Esther Yenda while Siman Musa Istifanus Esq is to serve as Secretary.

Inaugurating the Committee, the Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas said the Special Projects Committee in the State is to help in providing a good road map to touch the lives of the people at the grassroots.

Dr. Agbu Kefas maintained that members of the Committee were carefully selected based on merit and their individual track records urging them to justify the confidence and trust reposed in them.

The Governor said details of the terms of reference of the assignment of the Committee will be communicated to the members in due course and expressed happiness for accepting the appointment and taking their time to come for the inauguration.

Responding, Chairman of the Committee Senator Haruna Manu thanked the Governor for finding them worthy to carry out this important assignment and assured of doing the needful as instructed by the terms of reference of the Committee.

Senator Haruna Manu urged the people of the state to conduct themselves peacefully and respectfully during the forthcoming Local Government election slated for November 18th, 2023 in the State.

He said Taraba has been known to be a PDP State since 1999 reminding members of the party that only one person will emerge as the Chairman in each of the Councils advising all aspirants to Cooperate for the Chairmanship Candidate to be arrived at by consensus and whoever that emerged by consensus the other aspirants should Cooperate for the success of the party in the Election.

Senator Manu described Governor Kefas as a person with a large heart and expressed optimism that as a former PDP Chairman in the State he will accommodate all the aspirants in his Government.

He appreciated the Governor for carefully selecting members of the Committee saying that as the Chairman of the Committee he Will take guidance from elders like Idris Waziri and indeed from all members of the Committee.
