Yobe State government has pledged to support the Spelling Bee program in the state.

This was stated by the state governor, Alh. Mai Mala Buni on Saturday at Government House Damaturu, when he hosted the winners of the just concluded Spelling Bee in the state.

He assured that the competition would be taken to state level and would be organized annually.

‘Government would support this program to encourage our students to participate actively and to make the competition an annual event,’ he said.

While reassuring his government’s support on educational programs, Buni also commended the organizers and encouraged them to continue in that direction.

The recent Spelling Bee, which was the second edition in Yobe, hosted 72 schools across the 17 local government areas of the state.
