It is gathered that the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday when the assailants invaded the area shooting sporadically.

A man simply identified as Nathaniel was reportedly shot by the gunmen who engaged operatives of the FCT Police Command in a gun duel.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT command, Josephine Adeh confirmed the incident in a chat with DAILY POST, saying “Yes, it is true”.

Our correspondent gathered that the kidnappers attempted to abduct many of the residents before the Police operatives foiled their operation.
