Adamawa Governor Mourns Haman Kojoli

Adamawa State Governor, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri expresses how sad and shock he was about the passage of Haman Kojoli who died in Abuja on Wednesday.


Governor Fintiri described the late former Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, elderstatesman and a great son of Adamawa whose contributions during his public service carreer as an epitome of discipline and integrity.


“I received the news of the death of Haman Kojoli with shock and sadness. This came at a time his wealth of experience and wisdom were most needed at a difficult period of our development in the State.

I am, however, consoled that he lived and exemplary life and left a legacy of selfless service to not only the Customs Service but also his immediate community and Adamawa State”.


He noted that the late Haman was a humble and honest person who the people of the State would forever remain proud of following his antecedents during his service carreer as he succeeded in reforming the system.


Governor Fintiri noted that the late Haman Kojoli loved his people and the country, adding that the administrator, Customs Officer who later turned Farmer would be sorely missed having contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria, Adamawa and his immediate community.


“On behalf of myself, my family, government and People of Adamawa, I convey my sincere condolences to the family on the passing of the former Comptroller General of Customs Haman Kojoli. As you mourn, I join you in giving thanks to Almighty Allah for the exemplary and accomplished life your late father, husband, and grand father lived”.


Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri noted that the death of Haman Kojoli at this time, would surely rob the State of the great contributions and wisdom of the very humane elderstatesman, who carried the interest of Adamawa State above all other considerations.


Fintiri prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for Almighty Allah to grant the family he left behind, as well as his friends and associates and indeed the entire State, the fortitude to bear the loss, describing the late Customs Boss as one who displayed genuine love to all and sundry.


“He was religious, very open and full of wisdom. It is sad losing a great Man like Haman Kojoli who was cherished and loved by all, but there is consolation in the fact that he lived a worthy and exemplary life and only Allah can give the bereaved family the grace to bear the loss”.


“I pray Allah grant him Aljannatul Firdaus”.
