I will not protect fraud, Yobe revenue chairman – Kaitafi

Sani Kaitafi, the Chairman of Yobe state Internal Revenue Board says he will not protect any staff of the board involved in fraud.

Recall that Yobe state house of Assembly suspended the screening of Sani as Chairman of the state Internal Revenue Board In December 2022, Sani assumed office this year.

In a social media, X formally (Twitter), where Yobe state indigenes create the popular voice chat ‘Space’ to discuss ‘Good Governance’ when a speaker allege that the board is known with fraud, Sani noted that fraud will not be tolerated under his watch.

Sani also promised to reform the board, noting that he will change the collection strategy in other to double the initial revenue and to compete with other States.

“I have set a target, i want to raise 12 Billion by June and by the end of my tenure i want Yobe state salary to be solely handle by Yobe internal revenue. That’s my target and I will achieve Inshallah” he added.”
