Ancelotti confirms four-time Champions League winner will leave Real Madrid

Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has affirmed that four-time Champions League victor, Gareth Bale, will leave Santiago Bernabeu toward the end of the season, when his agreement with the club terminates.

This was unveiled by football veteran journalist, Fabrizio Romano, in a tweet through his Twitter handle on Monday ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League round of 16 first-leg attach with Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

He tweeted: “Gareth Bale will leave Real Madrid in June, Carlo Ancelotti affirms: “Bale has had injuries, then his contract ends – he may not have had a good motivation, but he wants to finish here as he deserves.

“It’s important for Bale to finish his career well here.”

 

Gareth Bale joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 for a then world record charge of £86million, outperforming the past record expense of £80m for forward, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Welsh kick off his career at the right-hand side in a front three containing duo Ronaldo and Karim Benzema (BBC).

Beside the four Champions League titles, the 32-year-old has additionally won two La Liga titles, three UEFA Super Cups, three Spanish Super Cups, four Club World Cups and one Copa Del Rey title with Real Madrid.
