Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas says he assumed office with a vision for a prosperous Taraba State.
The Governor made known during his one year in office thanksgiving service at the Christains Association of Nigeria CAN Secretariat in Jalingo, he expressed his deepest appreciation to God for guidance, protection and the wisdom in decision making.
Governor Kefas Said he has been working tirelesly to improve infrastructure and other aspects of development.
He noted that in the coming years, he will intensify efforts in addressing the needs of communities, invest in youth, empower women, support farmers and ensure everyone feels the impacts of his government.
Dr Agbu Kefas solicited for more prayers from the faithfuls for him to succeed.
and equally called on Tarabans to support him and his administration to realize his shared vision for the State.
In his address of Welcome, Tarabas State CAN Chairman Rev Dr Isaiah Magaji Jirapye represented by his vice Bishop Isaac Phillip Taku commended the friendly posture of the Governor and his love for the State and people, adding that the Governor has started well in just one year in office his policies and programmes so far are for progress and prosperity.
He urged the Governor to consider appointing more aides and grant scholarships to Taraba State indigenes within and outside the State and initiate more deliberate actions aimed at unifying the the People of the State.
In his Sermon, the the Guest Speaker Rev Dr Philip Micah Dopah, who took his text from the book of Psalms 118:1 christened his Sermon “Oh Give Thanks To The Lord “
described the first-anniversary thanksgiving of the Governor as timely and stressed that thanksgiving to God over His goodness and mercy is scriptural urging believers to make it a culture in all situations and circumstances.
Special prayers of thanksgiving, prayer for the Governor and his family and all tiers of Government as well as for prosperity of the State in peace and Security, were rendered.
The one year thanksgiving Service of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas was well attended.
