former Governor Nyameh to establish Yorro Community University

Former Governor of Taraba State, Rev. Dr. Jolly Tavoro Nyameh has unveiled plans to establish the Yorro Community University in a no distance time.

The former Governor made this known during the Mumuye Mantau Festival held at the Mumuye House, Mile Six, Jalingo.

Rev. Dr. Nyameh a Mumuye by tribe who served as Governor of Taraba State from 1999 to 2007 expressed his commitment to education and community development.

He said the proposed university is to provide opportunities for the people of Yorro and surrounding communities to access quality education.

However, Nyameh did not disclosed details of the establishment of the University including the timeline, site and funding but the announcement by the former Governor has generated excitements and anticipation among the Yorro Community and beyond.

Former Governor Rev. Dr. Jolly Nyameh has a track record of promoting education and development in Taraba State whose leadership style was characterized by foresight and resilience, has left a lasting legacies in various sectors across the nooks and crannies of Taraba State.
