On Saturday, former governor Bello Matawalle received all of the vehicles that the Zamfara State Police Command seized from him.
The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Yazid Abubakar, verified the occurrence on Saturday via a telephone conversation and stated that the cars were returned in accordance with the Federal High Court’s Gusau-based decision.
All security forces that removed the cars from Matawalle’s homes in Gusau and Maradun were ordered by the court, presided over by Justice Aminu Bappah-Aliyu, to return them within 48 hours.
On the order of the state government, the security operatives removed the vehicles from the two houses of the former governor.
