A Federal High Court sitting in Damaturu, Yobe State, today nullified primary elections of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Fika East and Jakusko State constituencies for non-compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Act.

Justice Fadima Murtala Aminu, who gave the judgement, ordered the APC to conduct fresh primaries for the two seats within 14 days.

Justice Aminu also warned the party not to tamper with the list of the authentic delegates sent to INEC.

MAIDAWAAREWAA had earlier reported that the court also dismissed the case of Abubakar Jinjiri vs Bashir Machina and APC after the plaintiff withdrew the suit against the two defendants.
