Man strapped with bomb caught in Plateau bank

A yet-to-be identified man was reportedly caught trying to plant a bomb within the premises of a bank in Plateau State.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Monday, when the suspect was found with Person Borne Improvised Explosive Device, SPBIED, strapped to his body in Dadin Kowa town, Jos South area of the state.

According to a post by security analyst, Zagazola Makama via his official X handle on Tuesday, the vigilante security at the bank prevented the attack when they spotted the suspect.

The suspect was later surrounded by an angry mob who demanded that he be killed immediately.

It is unclear whether the suspect has ties to any terrorist organization in the country.

Makama further disclosed that the suspect has been taken to the police station for further investigation.
